WILDLIFE

On our 1000 hectare ranch we have our famous lions, giraffe, zebra, warthog, wildebeest and much more. You can enjoy a game drive or walk with our experienced rangers. Lions, giraffe, zebra, warthog, wildebeest and more than 200 bird species make the Ranch their home.

Game Drives
“Walk with the Lions” - booking essential - Minimum 4 people
Walks will be carried out daily during the early mornings as these are the cooler parts of the day.  The walk takes place on the property that forms part of our 1000ha nature conservancy.  Upon arrival the Safari adventure team will brief delegates with a short introductory chat on Lions and safety measures which will be employed during the outing.  Delegates will then be introduced to the lions and their handlers and it is from this moment the adventure begins.  This adventure is the first in Limpopo Province and one of four places in the world which provide an opportunity for people to interact and “Walk with the Lions” in the bushveld.

Game Drives

Game Drives and Lion Tours - booking essential - Minimum 6 people
You can take a ride through the conservancy for or book a trip to view the game and lions on one of our unimog safari vehicles. You may also get the opportunity to get up close and personal with our lion cubs and even feed them.

Wild Life at the Ranch

We have been involved in wildlife rehabilitation for over 43 years. Our animals have acted in over 400 films and documentaries over the years, including ‘The Gods must be Crazy’ and ‘The Ghost & The Darkness.’

Lion Cubs

Our new lion cubs are hand raised and bottle fed and were ready for public interaction in March.

Bird Watching
Specialised bird watching and photographic tour operator, Bruce Lawson, visited our property and was amazed at the enormous variety of bird life available. Likewise, we are situated only 20km away from Pietersburg Bird Sanctuary, which was awarded the best sanctuary of its kind in South Africa a few years ago, and Nylsvlei , South Africa's premier waterfowl wetland, is less than 100km away, also situated on the N1 Toll Road.
