The gardens have been lovingly landscaped and are maintained under the watchful eye of Vicky Shearer.

Horse Riding
Horse Riding
The stables, overseen by Thomas, has some 15 horses. Outrides in the game park are available, where one can view game from an entirely different perspective.

Bird Watching

Birding
We have a wide variety of birdlife in the gardens and the wildlife park. Birders can be assured of many good sightings. We are situated only 20km away from Pietersburg Bird Sanctuary, which was awarded the best sanctuary of its kind in South Africa a few years ago, and Nylsvlei South Africa's premier waterfowl wetland, within 100km, also situated on the N1 Toll Road.

Childrens Gaming Room
Children
Children have their own playroom with TV, computer games, pinball machines, pool table, table tennis table, bowls, new tennis court and can also explore the playground and animal farm or bounce off their energy on the trampoline. There is also a massive jungle gym and we organise childrens games regularly.

Golf
Pietersburg Golf Club, only 15 minutes drive from The Ranch, is an annual venue for the Professional Golfers Association of South Africa and the home of Retief Goosen.

Archaeological and Historical
The Limpopo Province abounds with archaeological and historical findings of great value and interest. Immediately adjacent to The Ranch is the Makapan Valley which is in the process of being declared a World Heritage site. There are numerous archaeological sites, ancient ruins, museums and rock art sites which can be added in to form a cultural, historical or archaeological tour of the Limpopo Province.
